Vitamin E is one of the classic skincare vitamins.

Its main purpose has been to lighten scars. If you want to lighten up a scar just use vitamin E on a regular basis.

However, vitamin E can do so much more to your skin care routine. Even if you don’t have any scars, adding vitamin E to your skin care routine is a good idea. Vitamin E can accomplish much more than just lightening scars.

Here are some things you may not be aware of about vitamin E:

Daily use of Vitamin E is extremely good for your skin and can prevent wrinkles
Vitamin E heals. When you put it on cuts or scrapes it will actually help the skin to re-seal, not just heal up and leave a scar. This is why scars will almost disappear when treated with vitamin E. When skin is dry and cracked it heals and leaves little scars which are wrinkles. You already have a head start on wrinkles if you are already using vitamin E.

Proper exfoliation makes vitamin E twice as effective
When you exfoliate your skin you remove the dead skin cells on the surface. The depth of acne scars and wrinkles will lessen with regular use of vitamin E. Wrinkles and scars will change quickly with regular use of vitamin E and responsible exfoliation. Long term inflammation can be a result of exfoliating more than a few times a week.

Vitamin E treats stretch marks
When skin tears or stretches but doesn’t break, stretch mark appear. There is still an opportunity for scar to tissue to be made when skin has already been distorted. If you apply vitamin E before you actually get stretch marks and also to the marks you already have, it will prevent permanent streaks on your skin.

But, these ways were only for the topical use of vitamin E. Take vitamin E as a supplement and use it on your skin for optimum health. You can break open vitamin E oil supplements and use them on stretch marks, as well. You may be amazed at what you can accomplish for your skin when the vitamin E is coming from both inside and out.
